Bhoothnath should not be considered as a scary film. I play the character of Bhoothnath who dies because of some circumstances but apart from this he is very attached to the house he is living in. He just does not let anyone enter his home and every time any family comes to stay there, they are shooed away by me. Juhi Chawla and SRK who play couple in the film come to stay in that house and their kid is totally unaware of my existence in the house. I try several methods to scare him away but he scorns off all my efforts.
Bhoothnath is your forthcoming film; to begin with tell us a bit about your role in the film?
Bhoothnath should not be considered as a scary film. I play the character of Bhoothnath who dies because of some circumstances but apart from this he is very attached to the house he is living in. He just does not let anyone enter his home and every time any family comes to stay there he is shoed away by me. Juhi Chawla and SRK who play couple in the film come to stay in that house and their kid is totally unaware of my existence in the house. I try several methods to scare him away but he scorns off all my efforts. The kid believes in one funda, which his mother has taught him that there are no ghosts in this world and there are only angels. The kid(Banku) alters my way of thinking.
I guess its become a regular habit for you to sing for Ravi Chopras banner. You have sung for Bhoothnath too, how was the whole experience?
Yes, I have sung songs for this film but again there are many things, which should not be paid much importance. The song only goes on to show that Banku and myself just adore each other and it talks about their friendship. The two initially dont like each other but later everything falls into place as far as being a singer, I dont consider myself as a good singer.
Have you encountered ghosts in real life?
I dont know about ghosts but I do believe in the unknown forces of nature. I personally feel that there are some forces governing this universe, which is divine. People are free to give their own interpretation of those powers; they can call it God or anything.
After Sholay,Suhaag, Mukkadar Ka Sikandar and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, you can be seen in the promos riding a bike. Did you enjoy it?
I cant drive bikes like other people and I always get scared while taking turns at junctions. The whole experience of riding bike in Bhoothnath was very scary. What I did in Roti Kapda Aur Makaan was very stunning and the same thing applies toMukkadar Ka Sikandar too where I roamed around in a bike on Marine Drive. The bikes, which are coming out now a day, are very powerful ones.

What exactly prompted you to make a blog of your won?
Lot many times Ihave said to media which have not come across in a proper way whenever theyhave appeared in publication or channels. They have been distorted on more thanone occasion. It all started when I along with Yash Chopra had gone for the book release function to mark 25 years of lyricist Sameer in the film industry. On the same occasion Sameer expressed his desire that he wanted his son to write lyrics for Abhisheks son. There I said that let me go and tell this to Abhishek that Sameer has desired so. The next day it was splashed all over that I wanted a son with the result that I was taken to court by a womens organization with the allegation leveled against me that I wanted a son and not a daughter. It was just too much.
