Boring Nights and Boring Days!
Devang Dholakia creates his very bad debutant film as a Director. Before this movie he just produced two other films namely “Tere Liye” (2001) and “Ek Din 24 Ghante” (2003). Both the films resulted very badly at the box office and the critics rated them maximum 1star.
It’s the story of about some six friends Anuj Sawhney (Rahul), Hrishita (Antara), Farid Amiri (Amay), Madhuri Bhattacharya (Zoha), Sameer Aftab (Rocky), and Pinky Harwani as (Priya). They all are the best friends among each other but after the college completion everybody was moved on, on their way of life and nobody was in personally contact with each other. Rahul is a Share Broker and runs his own business successfully; Antara is now a Tellywood famous actress acting in various Soap operas; Amay has only two qualities in him, drinking and girls; Zoha is a hard working famous fashion designer; Priya has also two qualities in her, die hard Sharukh fan and Sad for breaking up with Rocky; and Rocky, he is just getting about to be married with one Australian girl Sanda Caktas as (Marianne) at Goa and these all people were invited.
When they all arrived there, a plan of 3 Nights & 4 Days was being set up on the notice board by Rocky, so that he and with his fiancé Marianne along with their best buddies would chill their times with some beer and music. The climax comes where Rocky finds some feeling about her ex-girlfriend Priya when they both kissed each other. By watching this Marianne just left the home before the wedding day and on this side all of them are trying to search Marianne with some guilt on the Rocky’s and Priya’s face.
This movie has all the melodramatic Bollywood old clichés where if one would just see the first 20mins of the film, I guess he/she would say “Oh God! I can’t bear this “3 Nights & 4 days” even “3mins & 4secs”.
What are the negative points of this film?
1. Totally bad direction by Devang Dholakia.
2. Mediocre typical TV serial type of editing (except for music videos).
3. Though very low budget cast, but very below to average performances by all of them.
4. Too out sync problem in many scenes.
5. Theme was somewhat nice, but the narration was totally awful.
6. Music/ BGM – Not at all impressive.
What more you want? Everything was so just bad that you will wonder that “Why the hell they are wasting their money”
And now before rating this movie, I would like to just say that lets hope for the upcoming movie by the debutant director of this movie Mr. Devand Dholakia “Marega Saala”. Which is atleast some better hope just because be seeing some good star cast such as the most talented ‘Rajat Kappor’ & ‘Jimmy Shergill’ along with 3 very much known beautiful ladies ‘Kim Sharma’ ‘Hrishita Bhatt’ & Rakhi Sawant’.
Rating: 1 / 5
