‘033’ is the dialing code of Kolkata .It is the point of connectivity between hundreds of people. This film is the story of a band called ‘033’ a Bengali band , which has it’s own share of problems due to the various problems of the members of the band, but the protagonist Mrinalini saves the band from disintegrating just when they were on the verge of doing so. As a music video is part of her project, she shoots a music video with them at Shankarpur and that is where she reveals her real identity to Shome, a member of the band who had developed feelings for her. It turns out that he is actually her step brother. She then goes back to Delhi. Santiago their mentor organizes one last show for them which surprisingly turn out to be a success and they decide to stick around. This film is for the national and international market as the younger generation will be able to relate to the film and it has an urbane fell about it. This film like Madly Bengali is a new age film a sit deals with urbane relationships, urbane surroundings, urbane thoughts etc. All the members-Parambrata, Saheb, Dhruv Mukherjee, newcomer Mumtaz Sarkar(daughter of P.C.Sarkar Jnr), Rudranil and Swastika but Rudranil is as usual the scene stealer .Though he is the last person people would expect in a film like this, he has again changed himself and just like we see a new Rudra in every film, over here as well he plays the part of Rudra and is a delight to watch. The background music is good and a couple of numbers are more than okay. The film is the directorial debut of Birsa Dasgupta, son of Raja and Chaitali Dasgupta and grandson of Harisadhan Dasgupta.
