Eminent Art director Nitish Roy's book 'Art' launched

The book launch of National award winning and winner of a Filmfare award, noted art director Nitish Roy took place on Saturday at the Kenilworth. Nitish has been the art director of many a Bollywood film starting from Mandi to Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and has also directed quite a few Bengali films, the last being Gosaibaganer Bhoot. He is a highly respected art director who has won the National Award on more than a couple of occasions and the late Samir Chanda also happened to be one of his assistants at one point of time. The book called ‘Art’- Art Direction and published by Deep Prakashan was launched in presence of directors Goutam Ghose, painter Subhaprasanna, actress Rituparna Sengupta , the Minister of Higher Education, Govt of West Bengal, Bratya Basu who happens to be an actor himself and others. The Minister of Sports(Independent Charge), Transport, and Fisheries, Madan Mitra was also present on the occasion. Debaditya Dutta is the author cum biographer of ‘ART’.
