Priyanka got an offer to act in Hollywood movie Dawn of War directed by Tarsem Singh, opposite British actor Henry Cavill. She couldn't do the film as the dates clashed with her movie Saat Khoon Maaf.
It is said that Priyanka refused to do a kiss scene with Anu Kapoor, who plays one of her husband, and so a body double was used to do the intimate scene with him in the film, as the actress was not comfortable portraying the character with him.
British/Indian author Ruskin Bond, whose book has been inspired to make this film, has also done a cameo role in 7 Khoon Maaf, where he appears in the movie with Priyanka Chopra, who kills "each of her seven husbands".
Apparently Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming film “Saat Khoon Maaf” is not only based on Ruskin Bond’s short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands, but it also has an uncanny resemblance to an Italian film titled “’Sette Volte Donna” by Vittorio De Sica with respect to its structure. Not only this, a recent promo of “Saat Khoon Maaf” where a mourning Priyanka Chopra walks with a funeral procession shares some similarity with this Italian film of 1967.
Vishal Bhardawaj's thriller Saat Koon Maaf is based on British/Indian author Ruskin Bond's book Susanna's Seven Husbands which tells the story of Susanna, a woman who kills her seven husbands.
The always slim Priyanka was asked to gain weight for the movie and was not happy about her weight gain. However after the film shoot got over, she was soon back in her slim-trim shape after attending wee hours in gym.
Apparently John Abraham was peeved with Vishal Bharadwaj for treating him on par with the other husbands. He wanted some special treatment as compare to other husbands because of his position in market. However Vishal was clear that every male actor will be kept on equal footing, and so John decided to boycott and snub the promotions of the film
