First things first. That the story is the foundation of any movie is now a rule rather than an exception as it was not too many years ago. Very true in case of "A Love Iishtory".
Suku, a bad actor but a good stuntman with a heart of gold is one day confronted by a young girl who claims to be her biological daughter. For a thirty year old stuntman who has lived life on his own terms sans any responsibilities and for whom a good woman is a woman who goes home the next morning, this comes as a shock. He didnt realise that his quest for earning pocket money in his kadka struggling days by donating his sperm will lead to this moment in his carefree life.
One convinced about his own paternity, Suku bonds with the girl big time. However, he is yet to reckon with the girl's mother, a sophisticated, extremely rich, cultured, man-hating woman who will not tolerate her daughter to be even linked with this uncouth, illeterate stuntman.
What follows is a rollercoaster journey of laughter, tears and funny situations as the daughter embarks on a quest of convincing her warring parents to live like a happy family.
The script written by Vipul K Rawal of IQBAL fame is tightly woven around a unique situation which creates choas and comedy in the lives of all the characters in the movie.
John Mathan, after Sarfarosh directs this romantic comedy weaving in it the pathos and his own experience as a father. Himesh has a role of a lifetime in the only film that gives him a chance to showcase his acting talents.
A movie to defenitely watch out in 2010.
