    Worth a Watch….

Thrillers, Scientific Gadgets, Past and Future based films have been a popular genre in Hollywood. Sadly we have very few films with all these in our Hindi Films. But as our Hindi Films are changing and varieties of experiments have been taking place, we have a film based on the above mentioned theme in “Aa Dekhe Zara”. Chalo Dekhte hain key eh dekhne layak hain ya nahin ?

“Aa Dekhe Zara” is story of Ray [Neil Nitin Mukesh], Freelancing Photographer who gets hold of an old Camera made by his Scientist grandfather [Biswajeet]. Ray discovers that the camera is not an ordinary camera but can predict future by showing the pictures of future. He uses the camera to get money and Simi [Bipasha Basu], a Musician. Ray falls in love with her and plans to get married as is now financially secured and settled. But enters Captain [Rahul Dev] in search of the camera and meanwhile Ray sees his future which is doomed through this camera. Thus starts the chase between the main characters with loads of twist and turns.

Story is good but resembles quite similar to Nicholas Cage’s NEXT. Still quite different and interesting. Screenplay is superb in first half, slows down in second but picks up again in the climax. Though this film is out and out commercial masala film with such interesting plot. Also it contains many loopholes and cinematic liberty. But thanks to its pace one does not think much in it, except why so much killing in second half? Is there something like law anywhere?. Camera work is strictly average and lightings were not as per the mood of the film. Production values were bit poor in this film. Editing is crisp in first half and climax, need to tighten up after interval.

Pritam’s music is notable for Gazab and Remix of title track, Rest all songs are average and hampers the pace of the film.

Director has tried a different and interesting tale, but lacks in between due to his inexperience. Still has made a good time pass gripping film which does not bore you out. There are few unanswered questions which makes you think in this pace full film. If these along with song would had been taken care the movie would had been much better.

Neil has given a good performance. Bipasha essays her role with ease and total conviction. Rahul dev is good. Sophie and others are strictly average.

So bol meri ‘Filmi Khopdi’ is film mein kitna hain Dum ?

Dum hain aur gripping bhi hain. Despite some loose ends and songs..The movie delivers you some good thrills, pace excitement and a different story. All this makes the film worth a watch at least once.
