PEPPY ALBUM - TRUE TO THE SUBJECT
The opening song of the album, Jabse Hum Hue Jaawan is sung with just the right amount of peppiness and zing by Sumedha Kaarmahe (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalist) and Sumitra Iyer (a VOI find). Expresses the bouyancy of youth quite well. Good music by Shamir Tandon.
Chote Chote Pairon Ke Tale - tells the innocent tale of childhood. Lovely lyrics wrien by Subrat Sinha set to the tuneful strumming of the guitar and sung in characteristic style by Kailash Kher. A pleasant song composed by Tabun Sutradhar.
Koi Kuch Bhi Soche - belted out with aplomb by Vasundhara Das. Very today, teenager kind of lyrics used by Subrat Sinha. Composed by Tabun.
We Are The Teen Queens - 3 of the original Viva band members, Anoushka, Pratichee and Mahua come together to belt out this rocking rock number. Great music by Shamir Tandon, very much in keeping with the theme of the movie.
This song also has a club mix version in the album.
Sambhali Hai Kitne Dino Se - Is the chulbuli dosti number sung quite sweetly by Shweta Pandit. An average listen though, to be honest.
Tere Bina Soona Hua Jahaan - Another rock number sung in a soft voice by Jojo. Ok - ok.
All in all Aamras is a peppy album, which seems to be very much in sync with the theme of the movie. Worth a listen!
