As per the director of Aamras, Rupali Guha, as the film is about four girls and has no star material per se, it was difficult to get financing for the film and it took one and a half years to get it as she went to various production houses who were not ready to touch it.
The director of the movie is the daughter of the acclaimed filmmaker of the yesteryears, Basu Chatterjee. Rupali, a well-known producer of the small screen, now tries her hand with the big screen. She will be making her directorial debut with Aamras with four newcomers (girls) stepping into acting.
