Not another fairytale…
This film was expected to be a flop, but unless there was no other decent Hindi film released this week, so the hopes were just little bit from this film. But It happened as expect the expected and not as expect the unexpected.
Story and screenplay wise the film might have gone under wishy fishy, but as far as the performances, they all atleast got 3stars on an average.
Aftab pitches in a sincere performance. He just adds lively moments in the film playing an adult who’s literally a child at heart. He looked and understands the character. But on the other side, I also think that he would be better is he would invest in something like an irresistible child-like innocence, rather than a crackpot, mental guy, which he acted in this film.
Aamna is easy on the eyes, although the role doesn't demand histrionics. Her looks was as charming as a fairy and shares great chemistry with Aftab. She was just simply sashaying on the screen in slow motion. She was just perfect as the ideal woman depicted as smiling and sweet girl as visualized by Mickey. As a ballet teacher she's just most unconvincing and she should instantly sack her costume designer and makeup artists, as she just forever looks like she's walked out of the fashion pages of a women's magazine, and apart from this, sadly she doesn't contribute much in the acting department.
Johny Lever is first-rate. He has a different shade to his character this time. He was just refreshing in the character role of a guardian angel Hitchcock. But somewhat he is wasted in one of the most ridiculous getups he's pulled on screen.
Rati Agnihotri was good. Yatin Karyekar is alright. The kids are full of energy and decent, but in some portions quite irritating also. Riteish Deshmukh makes a short but sweet appearance towards the end.
For the overall movie: 2 / 5 (As its good for kids) &
For the Overall Performance: 3 / 5
