Aao Wish Karien – Ki log kuch dhang ki films mein invest karein…
Debutante Aftab as Writer & Producer and Debutante Glenn Baretto as a Director both failed in delivering their first film.
What were the plus points and minus points to start this film:
1. Aftab was a producer cum writer of this film. He started his career since from 1987 as a child artist and from since 1999 as a full-fledged professional artist. So it’s almost 10yrs and there’s nothing new to Aftab in this Industry. He can produce a good film and can write a good story.
2. Cast were known and were appreciated earlier also in their earlier projects.
3. Music and Lyrics were in the hand of some professional players.
4. Cinematography and etc. were also in the hand of some skilled artists.
1. Risk to give a chance to someone very new and upcoming Director – Glenn Baretto
2. Not a very high budget movie.
Four plus points and only Two minus points, then what went really wrong that the audience didn’t appreciated the movie? Only for the two main reasons, that is the key factor to run any low budget film with any new cast. Little bit of Good Screenplay and little bit of Good Execution. Whereas in this case, there is little bit of lose Screenplay and little bit of lose Execution.
It can be really explained in just two lines. It’s simple but interesting. A small little 12yrd old kid fell in love 21yr old girl. Someday somehow he encountered with one “Wishing Well” and he wished to be grown up as 21yr old man. And the very next day his wish was granted. But there was a big problem that he was just physically grown up, but from heart and mind, he was still a 12yr old kid. Now what? Will he be able to fulfill his wish? Will this girl, ever in her life would fall in love with a 12yr old kid from heart and mind?
Quite interesting, it can be made a lot better film, but unless as I said, a little bit a strong screenplay would change the whole scenario. Story – 3 / 5 (Good)
Direction by the debutante Glenn Baretto was upto the par, as is it’s his first film. But a little bit of help from the professionals could really make some difference. Direction – 2 / 5 (Ok)
Technicalities such as Cinematography, Editing, Art Direction, were overall an average. 2.5 / 5 (Average)
Songs were lovely and sweet, some of the picturization and songs were unbearable also. Background Score suited and balanced with very scene. Rating: 2 / 5 (Ok)
Ofcourse Aftab has proved earlier also that he is one of the good performers in the industry. But here it was quite tough and challenging job. Tough as in he has to play a 21yr old man with a heart and mind as a 21yrd old child. Just as Hrithik played in “Koi Mil Gaya”, and challenging as in it’s his own film and his own money is being invested, so if he plays a little lousy character, then from the entire cast and crew, even the audiences, he would suffer most. But the good news is that, he has handled well, will not compare from Hrithik, but as a whole single performance, I would rate him 3.5 / 5 (Too Good)
Now Aamna & Aftab shares a perfect chemistry on screen as well as off screen also, and here, in this film, the same happened. Chemistry was awesome, and the performance given by her was also not that bad. She gets 3 / 5 (Good)
No doubt Johnny Lever gets 5 on 5 (Excellent) playing as an Angel, but his weird looking dress code was looking somewhat weird. But all in all, he deserves a first-rate.
The kids were, as kids only. Little good and little annoying. Rest all were good and a very short appearance by Ritesh Deshmukh was a good surprise. Overall 3 / 5 (Good)
One the whole, if you want to watch some nice, sweet and decent movie this week; rather than getting depressed from natural disaster films; then this is the perfect film for a family entertainment. Just munch the popcorn, sip the cold-drink, and whenever you get bore, just talk to your loved ones.
Rating: 2.5 / 5
