If you love 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja' and 'Dance India Dance', you will love ABCD else give it a skip. The movie is about a Dance program and how Prabhu Deva gets (otherwise wasting time) teenagers to get to dance and dance for winning.
1st things first, there is a lot of dance, a LOT. You got to love dancing to live through almost two and half hour of dance! Some say its a rip off from the hit movie series 'Step Up', may be, but it doesn't really matter, its a good movie made at heart.
Prabhu Deva speaks hindi in a weird accent and that would make you laugh even when he is delivering some serious dialogues, but he does look like trying hard. There's only one time he dances and he mesmerizes you, Yes he does. Wait for that moment. Kay Kay Menon acts in a funny way and it does not suit him at all. Total dislike for his role.
Now the real heros of the movie - all the debutante actors who are awesome dancers and have been part of one of the TV dance shows. All were brilliant and you would like them. It sure opens up windows for more movies. They lack a lot in the acting department but sure they cover it more than enough with their dancing skills.
And ya, this movie is in 3D. Was totally not needed. Other than some flying chilly and flower plus water splashes there was no need for this movie to be made in 3D. Without the glasses I would have enjoyed more. I go with 3 out of 5.
