The good movies does not get the hype, and most of the times, they go unnoticed, sinking into oblivion and after a while taking place in a music store's bengali VCD section.
The bengali film audience would do themselves a lot of good if they watch this film"Aborto".
Life is like a revolving chair..sometimes you face the table, sometime you face the window..sometimes you face nothing. And you try to find something out of nothing. The story sometimes feel the hackneyed type. the corporate ladder, the win-at-all-costs attitude , career over family, intoxicating relationships, a vagabond politician brother, and..of course..a celebrity cricketer. But, yet, there are some alleys in life, where the hackneyed-types also change their color..the boundaries get blurred..colors are mixed.
We need to value ourselves, we need to love ourselves. At the end of the day, we have to face our reflection in the mirror, and should be able to say, ya I can see you eye to eye. Aborto teaches us that. What goes around, comes around, the eternal truth about Karma. There is not only conservation of mass and energy, but also conservation of values, our deeds in this world.
Joya Ahsan played the character of a corporate wife perfectly. Values dont and should not be get lost in the glass-doors and high-rise buildings. Joya's character depicted that. Tota and Saswata played the two corporate big wigs with completely different attitude towards life. The circle of their life kept crossing each other..but still..if we are true to our heart..no matter how complex life becomes, at the end..all the twisting in the rope will come open..life becomes live-able.
Watch it, if you have not so far.
