Aadesh Shrivastava was born in a very middle-class family. When Aadesh was young, his ambition was to become a Doctor. But alongwith, He was passionately interested in music which finally took over all his other ambitions. Soon, Aadesh Shrivastava shifted to Mumbai permanently, where he learnt to play drums and played for stalwart composers like Salil Chaudhary, O.P.Nayyar and Shankar-Jaikishen. Then, he joined Laxmikant-Payrelal as an assistant.
He worked for Laxmikant-Pyarelal for 10 years, before he got a chance to start on his own. The film was Kanyadaan, and Aadesh had none other than Lata Mangeshkar to render his songs.
