Abbas Tyrewala, is a noted Hindi film storywriter, screenwriter, dialogue writer and director. He was successful as a screenwriter and dialogue writer in the early 2000s, and has been associated with award winning films like Maqbool (2003), Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003).
Abbas was born and brought up in Mumbai and joined St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, for his graduation. However, more intrigued with working on plays and writing jingles for advertisements, he left his academic career to pursue his calling. He joined the P.R. agency of O & M, where he worked for a year and thereafter joined Cinevista as a creative consultant.
