If a modern day Bollywood film buff were to be asked to say a name that can fit in any genre – tragic, comic, tragic-comic, dark, melodramatic, farce, burlesque et al, the first name would be that of Anupam Kher. There are few names that can reckon with this one on equal terms.
Kher who was born on March 7,1955 trained in the National School of Drama. He made his foray into films with Aagman(1982) but his trump card was Saraansh(1985) which saw an unbeatable performance in the role of an old father who had lost his son.
