Apurva Asrani biography

Apurva Asrani is an award winning film editor and a noted film critic based in Mumbai. Apurva began his career in 1995 as an assistant on the Bollywood countdown show Bpl Oye! that aired on Channel V. He at 19 became a film editor in the film 'Satya', directed by Ramgopal Varma. Apurva won the Filmfare award for Best Editing-Satya, (shared with Bhanodaya).[1][2] In 2001, Apurva won the National Award (Rajat Kamal) for his edit of 'Snip!' the bilingual comedy directed by Sunhil Sippy. The National Awards Jury said. "The Editor has created an evocative rhythm enhancing the pace of the narrative while aesthetically maintaining the unit of form and content."
