Madan Puri was born in 1915. From his childhood, Madan Puri wanted to become a hindi film hero. In 1943, Madan Puri came to Bombay to make it big in hindi films.
After 3 years of struggle, Madan Puri got his first break in hindi films with Ahinsa (1946). Madan did many myhthological films in the early years of his career. With the coming of late 50s, Madan Puri started getting character roles in plenty.
In early 60s, Madan puri’s career bloomed to its fullest with good roles in big banner films like Rakhi (1962), Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), Waqt (1965) and Phool aur Paththar (1966).
