Nayana Das was born in Kolkata on July 24th. Her father’s name is Ranjit Das and mother’s name is Abha Das. She passed ICSC from Park English School, Kolkata. She made her debut in the film”Pathbhola” in 1986 directed by Tarun Majumdar. She knew dancing. She took her dancing lessons from Mamata Mukhopadhay.
Her major films were, “Aamar Tumi”, “Anurag”, “Ananda Niketan”, “Sithir Sindur” etc. She married twice. Her second marriage was with politician Sudip Bandopadhay in the year 1971. She also contested in the mid-term assembly election in Bowbazar constituency in the year 1998, but was defeated by singer Ajit Pandey.
