Pahlaj Nihalani is a Hindi film producer since the 1980s. He has just completed 30 years in the film industry.

Nihalani produced his first film Haathkadi in 1982, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy. The movie did quite well. But Nihalani took a break before producing his next film.

Aandhi – Toofan (1985) was Nihalani’s second film. The movie starred Shatrughan Sinha and Hema Malini besides others. The movie didn’t really do well. His next film Ilzaam (1986), starring Govinda and Neelam Kothari, also wasn’t too impressive. Aag Hi Aag (1987), starring Dharmendra and Chunky Pandey, was Nihalani’s first hit.
