Sabita Bose was born in 15th July 1938 at Daltangunge, Bihar. Her father’s name was Khilish Chattopadhay and her other was Shantilata Debi. She studied in Bengali Girls school in Daltangunge. She was studied up to Matriculation from Hindi High School. But she gave her examination in private course.
She made her debut in the film “Aaj Sandhayay” directed by Sudhir Mukhopadhay in 1954. She has acted in atleast 100 films including “Palatak”, “Mahila Mahal”, “Gobinda Das” , “Ulka”, “Taser Ghar”, “Bharinibilash, “Jevan Sathi”, etc. She has also acted in Hindi films. She got married to film journalist Gourango Prasad Bose in 1957. She had one son and one daughter. Her favorite game was Tennis and she loved to read books.» read full biography
