Siddharth Roy Kapoor grew up in Mumbai, studied at GD Somani School and got his B.Com degree from Sydenham college. He later got his MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj. After completing his education, he did a stint in Brand Management with leading FMCG firm, P&G. But media and entertainment was his first love and he shifted to Star TV when they were moving from a half Hindi, half English to a full Hindi channel. He was part of the team that worked on KBC at that time, the show that really turned the fortunes of Star Plus.
