It has been written and contested, whether Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene or not. Dan Brown even wrote a bestseller book on this subject and a hit movie was made based on that book. It's a controversial topic, which I would rather avoid, also for the lack of knowledge. But, what is known to me is that Saif and Kareena are going to get married. Both have been giving statements in the media, which hint at this event, happening sooner than later. Some reports even suggesting, that they have already been secretly married. In the meanwhile, I chanced upon this movie Da ... » read more

The queen has James Bond, US has Ethan Hunt, Bourn, XXX and India has……… well the hunt for Indian super spy started back in 1967 with Farz (Jeetendra in the lead role). Till 2003 we were still hunting for a Indian super spy. Then Bollywood moved its focus to Love… Sex… Dhoka, while Hollywood kept creating magic with their set of super spies. Are we desperate to have a super spy comparable with James Bond? I think we can live without it.

“Agent Vinod”, the most awaited long in the making magnum opus by the reputed Director Sriram Raghavan tells the story of Agent Vinod (Saif) who is a RAW agent who is sent on a mission to unveil the mystery of “242”, which was being tracked by his friend & Colleague Sinha (Ravi Kisen) who gets killed trying to solve the mystery, this journey takes Vinod from Russia where he encounters international criminal Abu Nazer (Ram Kapoor) who is financing the “242”, to Morocco where he encounters Kazaan (Prem Chopra) a multi billionaire who acquires the “242” for Colonel (Adil ... » read more

Being a Movie buff from childhood I always had craving for all sorts of genre. Besides typical Masala films and action films, my childhood witnessed loads of Murder Mysteries, Crime Thrillers and of course Spy Films. I remember watching Mithun as Gun master G9 in Suraksha which was one of favorite films at that time for me and my gang of movie lover kids. Yes there was James Bond, but we were not supposed to watch them as most of them were ‘Adults only’. So we use to feast on our Desi Bond films like Farz, Aakhen, Raksha, Shakka, Bond 303, Yakeen, Keemat, Saazish, Wardaat, ... » read more

When Saif Ali Khan started his filmi career, he was struggling to find his ground. He tried everything but couldn’t manage to establish himself as a big star. Then he became the co-star to Akshay Kumar in several films and the pair was successful. But there was a question in front of him… “HAVE I MADE IT LARGE???” :P
Then Dil Chahta Hai changed his career tremendously… after that Kal ho na Ho…. But again the same Question… “HAVE I MADE IT LARGE???” :P
Movies like HUM TUM, Love Aaj Kal established him as a leading hero in bollywood… but movies like Omkara and Ekk ... » read more

So, here comes Saif Ali Khan, after a long break, with his home production Agent Vinod -- directed by ace film-maker Sriram Raghavan. Remember Ek Hasina Thi (Saf and Urmila Matondkar)? it was a real killer movie made by Raghavan. I think, in a sense, Ek Hasina Thi was the 'real' turning point in Saif's then fledgling career. Sriram Raghavan, needless to say, is a master of making thrillers (I liked Johnny Gaddar so much). So, if it's for anything that compels me to take an active interest in Agent Vinod, is no one else but the director himself. But is that enough?

If only Agent Vinod were a video game. It has all the hallmarks of a classic: from explosive wall-to-wall action to various levels of globetrotting mayhem, from challenging moments of hand-to-hand combat and clue-hunting to an eclectic slew of fascinating side characters, from a helluva background score to, quite vitally, the fact that it doesn't end where it should and instead keeps giving the protagonist more to do. » read more

an Saif Ali Khan be India's Bond or Bourne? The query crossed my mind, more so because the Hindi film industry hasn't come up with a secret agent movie that's as memorable as the Hollywood franchisees.

Sriram Raghavan bestowed Saif with an absolute switch in EK HASINA THI. An unblemished look, an unsullied representation. It showcased the aptitude that the actor possesses, which, unfortunately, wasn't tapped in his earlier movies. With AGENT VINOD, Sriram and Saif embark upon a spanking new journey, sorry mission, to come up with a spy film. A chic James Bond ... » read more

Believe me, it's really a small world.Even though a film purporting to be as epic in proportion as "Agent Vinod" travels all across the world to capture some of the most never-seen spots in the world, the plot - an intelligent clever, urbane and wry melange of Bourne and Bond, "Farz" and "Mission Impossible", finally finds its most assured resting-place in apana jahaan Delhi.
