  The hit song, 'Chikni Chameli' has been adapted from a Marathi superhit Kombdi Palali from Jatra (2007), composed by the same music director duo, Ajay-Atul. The original song was sung by Vaishali Samant, while for this version, Shreya Ghoshal has lent her voice.

  For the first time ever in his life, Sanjay Dutt shaved (tonsured) his head for his role as Kancha Cheena in Agneepath (Remake). Initially a prosthetic makeup was tried out but it would melt in the heat in Diu. Also, having a prosthetic makeup would take hours to put it on the head, and almost the same time to wear it off.
