If I meet Genie or some genius, I want to ask for three wishes in Khwaishtan

    1. Please stop Khwaishful directors from making fantasy films as a genre
    2. Please stop Khwaishful directors from making films with just an inspired idea!
    3. Please stop Khwaishful directors from attempting to copy Hollywood in lifting characters or special effects!

Unfortunately, I have got no genie to rub the wrong or right way, oh sorry not the genie, the lamp, stupid!

Forgive me, after watching the movie, I was convinced, you'll laugh at this joke. You don't ... » read more

    I wish for……

As a kid we all loved the magical stories from Arabian Nights, especially Aladin and his magical lamp. I wanted to see it in moving image form; my first encounter was on Doordarshan where they had a serial named Aladin Ka Chirag {Sabyasachi Chakrabarty}. But that was a modern day Aladin story which was far different than what we had heard and also we were too small to understand the difference. Then there were few Aladin films which were made years ago with some stupid special effects including Shammi Kapoor’s Bundelbaaz which had the Genie. But later ... » read more

The Magic Lamp turned into Tragic Lamp!!!

I am a Sujoy Ghosh fan, ever since I saw Jhankaar Beats and Home Delivery. I especially loved the whacky comedy in Home Delivery. Now, having seen Aladin, I feel this has been his weakest movie comparatively. I am not saying he was bad. In fact I enjoyed the movie till it reached the final moments where it simply fell. The end seemed to have been made in a hurry as lot of questions remain unanswered - What exactly happens to Sanjay Dutt in the end? What happens to his gang? The climax failed to impress us unlike the previous ... » read more

Nobody learned from the mistake called "Drona"

Last year we had a heavy weight fantasy debacle from the banner of Eros Entertainment called "Drona". And this year we have a similar kind of forgettable fantasy movie titled "Aladin", once again from the same prestigious banner of Eros. Wasn't there even one thinking mind in the team who could see that they were repeating the same horrendous blunder again leading to a big loss, both on financial and goodwill grounds? Wasn't there any creative person at all, who could point out that "Aladin" was also having the same ... » read more

Cartoon was much better than this rotten!

Now let me guess, what would I write, so that this rotten can turn into atleast some low grade Hindi cartoon movie? Atleast that should be watchable :)

    1. I guess Gennie should be cast for some…Johnny Lever or Rajpal Yadav. Atleast kids will get some enjoyment by their comic talents.

    2. Aladin would be casted for….let’s say Shahid Kappor. He can act as a poor guy, an afraid kind of character, a lover boy, and also would be perfect as a brave young man who can fight with the villains.

    3. Jasmine ... » read more

In ALADDIN, a street urchin woos an Arabian Princess by pretending to be a prince. He gets help from an exuberant blue genie in a bottle, who grants him three wishes. But before this story ends happily ever after, Aladdin must tell Princess Jasmine the truth about his identity, and defeat an evil royal advisor, neither one an easy task!

Jasmine is no Belle and Aladdin is no Beast, but add a big blue genie voiced by Robin Williams to the picture and you've got a very entertaining Disney movie. Williams brings humor and vitality to a movie that might otherwise be ... » read more

The film is made especially for children, but the timing is wrong as children's holidays are over . , but Amitabh Bachchan rocks man. Ritesh is okay. I saw aladin in which sachin was the hero that film was also good but it failed to make an impact lets hope the film as of now shall proved to be above average.
The director who gave us jhankar beats I had more expectation. » read more
