Goofs: In the scene where Anand Akela shows Prem his token for the interview, Prem places it on the table. All three characters are shown to move away at the end of the scene, but Anand doesn't pick his token back. He reveals much later that he has given up hope of marriage to Raveena, but its only after their attempt to foil the plans of other hopefuls.

Goofs: In the climax when Aamir tells Crime master Gogo more about his childhood expression, Gogo in a long shot holding a gun on his right hand happily shouts to everyone about what others were thinking about him. A close-up is followed afterwards and it is visibly clear that Gogo is holding the same gun on his left hand without revealing why and how.

Both Amir and Salman's previous movies are referenced in the movie through a song. When Amir is cutting the ribbon in prison, the song played in the background, Papa Kehte Hain, is from his earlier hit film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). While just before the 'oranges' scene at Raveena's home, after Salman has his lunch he hums Dekha Hai Pehli Baar from his own earlier film Saajan (1991).

When "Salman Khan" is asked whether he has seen the movie Sholay (1975), he says "Haan, dus baar (yes, ten times)", Amir Khan jokingly says "Iske baap ne likhi hai". This is true. Salman Khan's father Mr. Salim Khan was one the co-writers of the 1975 block buster "Sholay".
