Don’t be surprised, the above title just interpret that we have got another version of the same rom-com love stories which we had earlier seen many a times, recently again saw in the film ‘I Hate Luv Stories”. Siddharth Raj Anand who is being into love stories only, started his career from the ‘Hum Tum’ and now once again has made the same rom-com love stories through ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ after a about two years of gap. Let’s see how entertaining it is.
It’s a story of about a guy, Akash (Ranbir Kapoor), who suffered a big heavy loss in Share Market and had decided to commit suicide. On the other side it’s also a story of about a girl, Kiara (Priyanka Chopra), who has recently being cheated by her childhood lover, Kunal (Zayed Khan), and had also decided to commit suicide. Both of them met each other at one of the bridge in USA (how occasionally), both of them attempted of committing suicide but failed (how eventually), both of them attempted again and again together but failed again and again (how greedy…they won’t die until their payment is cleared). Now both of them had decided to commit suicide on the 31st of Dec night, after a bout 20 days (script says so…no option for them). So as the story moves on they both decided to complete their wishes together in these 20 days before committing to suicide. And sahi jawab…you guessed it very correctly, they both are falling in love with other, eventually, and they both lived happily ever after with each other, finally.
We had seen many popcorn types love stories, and that’s why I would suggest to all the makers out there that please bring some new and fresh love stories, otherwise we would repeatedly say that “I hate luv stories’ of such type.
As for the direction, Siddharth Raj Anand had already proven his talent in the direction field in his earlier films like Salaam Namaste, Tara Rum Pum, Bachna Ae Haseeno, etc.
As for the story, first half was Ha-Ha, second half was Boo-Hoo.
As for the performances, Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra had already shown their talents in many films. (Rest were all typecast)
As for the chemistry between RK & PC, they were super. As for the music, it was decent. As for the remaining technicalities, it was standard as per the genre.
RK fans would love it. PC fans will enjoy it. And the rest of it will find it Ok.
