Bhawani Chatterjee invites him to see his house and temple. In Bhawani's house everybody believes in God, except his daughter Anita. Dipak is Anita's lover. Dipak and his father's intentions are to capture the vast property of Bhawani by marrying Anita. But sensing the evil intentions Bhawani does not approve of this marriage and marries off Anita to Biswajit. Anita refuses Biswajit from the first day of marriage and insults him every now and then. Realising his daughter's nature Bhawani transfers his property and bank balance to Biswajit. Anita makes a trip to their tea garden accompanied by Bittu. There she falls in love with the manager Abhijit and wants to marry him. When Biswajit comes to the tea garden Anita introduces him to Abhijit as the care taker.
