    Bindiya (Nalini Jaywant) sells flowers, picked from a garden along a river. Ashok (Dilip Kumar) is a writer, writes stories sitting underneath a tree of that garden.Bindiya loves Ashok. One day Bindiya is attacked by a man and as Ashok tries to rescue her, he is hit on his head. As Ashok falls down the person runs away thinking Ashok to be dead. Bindiya takes him to a doctor who operates on him and assures that he can see again. Batle (Mukni) Barber he also loves Bindiya, but she likes him any how she is after Ashok. Geeta's father who is about to die he askes his sister's to look good, handsome if he is elderly dosen't matter, he should be good behaviour. After seeing Ashok they thought about him, laterly they asks publishan who is well settled but he refuses as he comes to know about Ashok and Geeta. While walking along the river bank, accidentlly Ashok falls into river but he survives. and comes out of that fortunately he becomes ill, Bindiaya gets scame of it, but he recovers. Bindiya comes to know that Ashok loves Geeta. Bindiya mind becomes wiolent she tried to break up love between them, after all Ashok takes firm decision to be with Geeta. Bindiya sacrifices her love. Mean note : Ashok writes story publishash to Dwarka Prasad kitabwala book named by "Anokh Mohabbat".
