Indeed ANTAHEEN. we all have a pherari mon, but that pherari mon came back for a while when i was watching Brinda and Abhik. very touchy movie, it is close 2 heart. just loved it. there is nothing to tell, but only to feel.
after Anuranan it was the 2nd neuclear attack to my Heart. just blowed and gave a slight pain somewhere. why can't true love survive? why u have to be alone after loving someone unconditionly???? » read more

Antaheen-the name itself haunts, A lovely movie and a must-watch for every Bangali movie lover. A refreshing break from Prosenjit and Mithun and Jeet and all those sloppy films they keep doing. Indeed when you watch this movie, you are acutely aware that the director has substance in his head, unlike those numerous Tollywood directors who make stupid meaningless films.
Rahul Bose with his calculated acting prowess makes Abhik the cop believable. It feels good to think that even cops have the desire to secretly chat with fancy names instead of always trying to fill ... » read more

After “Anuranan”, ANiruddha Roy Coudhury has made another film with ‘A’ – “Antaheen”, released this Friday.

Like “Anuranan” here also Aniruddha is trying to define man-woman relationship. We have seen three pairs of man-woman in this film.

First pair is Paromita (Aparna Sen) and Ranjan (Kalyan Roy) – who though married stay separately.

Second pair is Mr. Mehra and his wife Shalini (Mita Bashist) – who are married and stay together but like two different separated islands floating on the same sea.

And the third pair is Abhik (Rahul Bose) ... » read more

Antaheen is really without any end.Literally it means no end 0r eternity but the fact is the film is not meant for any concrete message to convey. instead it frightens people, specially the media persons to take up daring works , which is absard today because it is obviously foolish to enrage media which can go upto anything to stall work. The story could have been told in the
reversed way starting with the accident, to show some activity on the part of the police officer at least, to reveal the truth.Due to this
the directorial part has become bizarre.

    • Antaheen, the second offering from director Aniruddha Roy Choudury is again about relationships, but this time of a different kind. It is a story of Abhik Choudhury (Rahul Bose), a top cop who becomes a more known face after he helps to recover arms from terrorists connected to the Bangalore blast. He is unmarried and stays with his aunt Moni (Sharmila Tagore) who’s also unmarried like him. Both of them are lonely souls and she has also something in common with Abhik. Just like Abhik becomes close to his chat friend whom he has never meet and confides in her, his aunt ... » read more

Literally translating the title would mean “endless.” Something with no end. This film is a take on the endless wait of love.

I was hearing this name for some time now. Everyone was talking about Antaheen. On a Saturday, I managed to finally watch it. Half an hour into the film I felt that it was made for ... » read more

    Sensitivity At Its Best

Antaheen rating: 10 out of 10

They say I'm a bad critic. This is because I never criticise, and try my best to highlight the key points in a film. If the film touches me, there it goes - 5/5.

Antaheen is one such movie I'd like to remember throughout my life. A film that captures cinematographically sensitivities of human mind, human emotions and plays with them, Antaheen, meaning "eternal" corresponds to the eternal wait.

We get to see that somehow or the other, all the characters await for eons for some affection, some relationship. While Rahul Bose and Radhika Apte chat endlessly ... » read more
