Arbaaz Khan was born on August 4, 1967. He was the second of the 3 sons to his parents. His father Salim Khan was a famous script writer by the time grew up. Hence, Arbaaz was influenced by Hindi films from his childhood. His first film was Daraar (1996), An Abbas-Mustan thriller where he played a psycho-violent husband. Although the film also starred Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla, Arbaaz’s performance was appreciated the most by the audience, and he won many awards that year.

Arbaaz Khan then did Sham Ghansham (1998), which was not successful. His next film Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya (1998) directed by his brother Sohail Khan was a huge hit, and Arbaaz Khan was appreciated again for his mature performance. Unfortunately, Arbaaz Khan couldn’t bank on its success. Arbaaz Khan then did Hello Brother (1999), which was a disaster at box-office. Arbaaz didn’t do a film for 3 years then. His next film was Maa Tujhe Salaam (2002) where again Arbaaz Khan played a very powerful role. However, this film went unnoticed, and so did Arbaaz’s acting. Arbaaz then had to resort to doing small roles in small films.

Arbaaz Khan’s next big film was Harry Baweja’s Qayamat (2003), where he played the negative role. A multi-starrer, Qayamat did well at the box-office. But It didn’t help Arbaaz’s career much. However, Arbaaz got a lot of support from Priyadarshan who cast him in supporting roles in many of his films like Hulchul (2004), Maalamaal Weekly (2006), Bhagam Bhag (2006), and Dhol (2007).His performance in Shootout At Lokhandwala (2007) was liked by the cine-goers.

In 2008, Arbaaz Khan was seen in Woodstock Villa and in a cameo in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in his kitty. Arbaaz Khan won Filmfare Award in 1996 for Best actor in a villainous role for Daraar.

His brother Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars of the country, while his other brother Sohail Khan is also an actor-producer-director. He is married to model-actress Malaika Arora and they have a son named Ahaan.
