Nearly 300 years ago, on the day of Janmashtami, a baby is born in an unknown village of Bengal. A priest cones to visit the newborn chanting 'shlokes' from the Gita and predicts that this child is an avtaar of Lord Krishna and will one day abolish all evil from society. The child is named Lokenath. Inspite of his wifes resistance,Lokenaths father decides to devote his son for sanyas and brahmacharya. During his upanyan, Lokenath is given to Ganguly Moshai, the priest. His childhood friend Benimadhab also joins them on their journey of sanyas(hermit life). Ganguly Moshai takes his two disciples to a pilgrimage to 'kali ghat' .Their training begins here. The teenage boys were first made to meditate here and complete 12 years of meditation. Loknath learns about Indian yoga power, spirituality and sadhna. He is now a youth in mid twenties. Meanwhile, Madhvi his girlfriend in his village, has to marry elsewhere. Loknaths mother who has waited for a decade to see her son starts to fast . Loknath by using yoga power, sends his spirit to meet her and Madhvi and convinces them of his practice. As per his guru's orders he has to detach himself from all infatuations. Since Loknath and Benu remain calm and composed in all situations, their guru is please with them and gives them permission to visit their village. They return to their village and recieve a warm welcome from the villagers .Loknath meets Madhvi and she serves him during his two week stay at the village. When it is time for him to return, Madhvi pleads him to join her but Loknath consoles her and promises her that they will meet again. Loknath and Benu start meditating again and complete 50 years of meditation - they are now middle aged saints but their desires for sadhna remains the same. Loknath visits the mecca mosque, hazisahib and teaches him indian mythologias (puran). Ganguly moshai takes loknath and Benu to kashi and hands them over to Tailangaswami, the famous sage. After finishing all teachings, Ganguly Moshai dies in monikarnika ghat leaving his two disciples to the biggest saint of the country Taileengaswami, who takes them to the himalayas and teaches them different practices of meditation and yogas. They come to Kedarnath and Badrinath and Loknath meditates at the peak of Badrinath. Finally one day he experiences the ultimate truth and succeeds in his desires. He returns to the land, comes to the public and starts to face the problem/evils of the human society. Now he has changed a lot, he is an omniscient, who is here to serve mankind. His soft spoken personality, easy simple preaching and divine power finally create a magic among people. His fame spreads throughout the country. Badrinath village becomes his permanent address for preaching. Admirres all over the country come to meet the saint with supernatural powers. Badri's landlords makes an ashram in the riverside, though he choses the wooden tree inside the burning ghat for his place for meditation. His followers and devotees make the ashram a crowded place. Admireres come to meet him everyday and night. One day the king of Vawal and his wife comes to his feet for blessing while the other day Bijoy Krishna Goswami - the famous krishna devotee visits the village to meet the omniscient saint. Loknath never feels disturbed, he loves to interact with people of different religions and casts. One day Rajendra Narayan the king in a simple dress comes to him and prays for a photograph. Loknath intially refuses but later for the betterman of the poors finally agrees to pose infront of his camera. The snap has been taken and till the date thats the only photograph of Loknath. His "naamgaan" and prayers from his followers continue and gradually his village becomes a famous religious place in Bengal. One day he calls all his admirers and tells them that time has come for him to leave his body and he has to start his journey towards the stars and sky. 150 years since his arrival in the earth he has to depart his body.
