How does one write a review for one of the most revered soundtracks in hindi films?
Trying to describe the beauty of Naushad saab's music ...it is like trying to describe the beauty of the Taj Mahal.
Whether it is the phenomenal 'O Duniya Ke Rakhwale' (Raag Darbari)...sung by Rafi...considered to be one his best songs till date...
or 'Man Tarpat Hari Darshan' (Raag Malkaus) one of the most beautiful bhajans in Hindi films (actually created by 3 individuals who are Muslims - Shakeel Badayuni, Mohammed Rafi and Naushad)....which is breathtaking.
or the melodious notes of a very young Lata Mangeshkar in 'Mohe Bhool Gaye Saanwariya' and the yearning for her beloved in her voice and the lyrics of the song.
The beatiful duets of 'Jhoole Main Pawan Ke' and 'Tu Ganga Ki Mauj', also never fail to bring a smile to the lips.
"Bachpan Ki Mohabbat Ko' is also a lovely song, redered faultelssly by a young and fresh voice - Lata Mangeshkar.
All in all a soundtrack, which is a must have for old movies buffs, and those with a classical bent of mind.
