More than 12 Reasons…
There are two types of good movies, one which gives you wholesome entertainment and on other side some gives you good messages. We also have something in between called as different films, films which have messages also with entertainment in backdrop. 'Barah Aana' joins the latter types but wit more simplicity.
'Barah Aana' is story of three friends-Shukla [Naseerudin Shah] a driver, Yadav [Vijay Raaz] a Watchman and Aman[Arjun] a waiter. All of them are going through their normal routine in life and suddenly an incident happens which changes their life drastically.
Story of this film is quite different and has character we see in our daily routine life. The journey is nourished with some good light moments and reality based performances. Screenplay is good, but needed more grip over it. At times the screenplay jumps down and up. Background music is average.
Director has attempted a interesting tale in a light and simple manner. Though a matured hand would had been welcomed in the favor of the film. First half is bit slow, but picks up in second half. He deserves full marks for extracting performances from lead actors in such a simple film.
Performance is an essential part of this film. Naseer delivers a silent performance with more of facial expressions. If you thought Vijay Raaz has been typecast, then watch out his performance out here. He is totally in character and has showed his brilliance. Arjun Mathur is good. Rests all are fine as per their part.
So bol meri ‘Filmi Khopdi’ is film mein kitna hain dum ?
Dum hain aur interesting bhi hain. The concept despite of being simple is interesting and essays some good performances. A total feel good film which has more than 12 reasons to watch it.
