    “Bari Theke Paliye” was created by master film maker Ritwick Ghatak during the 1950’s. The film is adapted from the popular novel “Bari Theke Paliye” by Shibram Chakraborty. The story revolves around a teenage boy Kanchan (Sriman Parambhattarak) who escapes from his village to take refuge from his menacing and patriarchal father. Kanchan walks into the Howrah bound train and arrives at Kolkata.
