After losing the court case with his relatives Sibnath Choudhury came to Madhubani with his sick wife Maya and his little son Somnath with a hope to fight the legal battle again by setting his little land he had there. Before death Maya told Shibnath that not to go for any court case, instead of that build an ideal village in Madhubani. Sibnath was so inspired by those last words of his wife that he established a model village and named it Maya Ghat. Many people started residing at Maya Ghat. Amongst them there were good people, there were bad people. One of those bad peoples was Kedar Sanyal. Hence of opinion cropped up between Kedar and Sibnath. Somnath was in the company of Kedar because Somnath has a weakness for Kedar's daughter Sovona. Somnath married Sovona and Sibnath accepted Sovona very easily. Once for a construction for a bridge over the canal a certain amount of loan was taken from the municipality. Conspiring a lot Kedar, dumped the responsibility of that loan in the Sibnath's shoulder. Everybody thought that Sibnath was a friend. One day Sibnath decided to leave Maya Ghat. Sovona came forward. She handed over her little son Indranath to Sibnath with a request to brought him up like Sibnath. Sibnath left Maya Ghat with Indranath. The young brigade of Maya Ghat stood against Kedar, as his attitude was not bearable. But Kedar hired goons to stop them. Sovona could not tolerate the situation when Maya Ghat's situation became extreme. Sibnath was almost eighty then but who else than Sibnath could resume Maya Ghat? When Sovona brought back Sibnath to Maya Ghat suddenly a stick hit Sibnath's head. But as ultimately only truth wins Kedar Sanyal had to leave Maya Ghat.
