    Dr. Digambar Chatterjee's daughter Nupur runs away from her home because she has certain preconceived apprehensions about her marriage. Dr. Chatterjee announces a award of ten thousand rupees as a prize money for giving her whereabouts. Ever unsuccessful detectives, Bhanu & his assistant Jahar come across the adverstisement in the newspaper. They decide to trace her out & take the reward. Nupur, coming across her photo in the newspaper starts jumping from place to place until she lands in the house of a reputed singer Anjan. Anjan is a bachelor with genuine reservations against the female species. To hide Nupur from the eyes of the dectectives, Anjan takes her to a remote hilly place. But the relentless Bhanu & Jahar who are in dire need of the prize money, ultimately find Nupur with Anjan. They inform Nupur's whereabouts to her father Dr. Chatterjee who now comes to realize that the person with whom he wanted to marry his daughter is actually Anjan himself. Dr. Chatterjee in the last sequence deprives Bhanu & Jahar of the entire prize money citing some created reasons. Though bhanu & jahar fail to receive the award money, they taste success for the first time in their entire professional carrier. The couple, Anjan & Nupur live happily ever after.
