Yes, the skeleton of the story has been taken from the 'Canterville Ghost' by Oscar Wilde, but it has been suitably garbed with a very Indian and Bollywood script. A movie which does have its emotional and rib tickling moments and good performances by seasoned (Amitabh and Juhi) as well as new actors (Aman Siddiqui - child artiste). Coming just after Tashan it comes as a bit of a breather.
Yes, the movie had a few weak moments, the overtly unnecessarily bitchy and a little OTT acting of the daughter - in - law, Unnecessary songs with boring picturisation did bring in some snag in concentration but the emotions in the movie portrayed very sensitively by veteran actors managed to bring one back into the movie.
A movie which you can curl up to in your seat with a bag of popcorn and let your emotions, and the child in you take over.
