Tapan Dutta’s ‘Bhorer Pakhi’ is a familiar story about a woman who is much sinned and looked down upon by the entire society.
The film which is a social drama is about the central character Pakhi whose family is in dire straits. Her father was never of much use, elder brother is selfish, younger brother is an alcoholic and the youngest sister is about to appear for her H.S.The need for money is immense and Pakhi decides to do something about it .She becomes a sex worker after she comes in contact with a pimp one day.
