Gobinda Mukherjee fell in deep trouble immediately after his third marriage. On one hand his friends left him as he was not regular in the club, on the other hand his new wife Nirmala also left him as he was not complying with her desires. Gobinda then had nothing to do except eating. He became very fat within a very short time. His brother-in-law took his photograph and sent it to Nirmala to show her the physical condition of Gobinda in her absence. Receiving the photograph Nirmala became very angry. She thought that Gobinda was very happy in her absence. She also sent a photograph of her to Gobinda taking their maid servant in disguise of a man. She sent along with a note that the man besides her was a special friend of her. Then Gobinda became nervous. He sent his old maid servant Ramkanta to his father-in-law’s house to investigate the entire thing and give a message of his fourth marriage. Watching Ramkanta, Golapi the maid servant of that house easily identified him as her lost husband. From Ramkanta Golapi came to know that Gobinda was not actually marrying for fourth time, he had only sent a wrong message so that Nirmala might think to come back. Golapi said everything to Nirmala. Nirmala made a plan with Ramkanta after comming back to Gobinda said Nirmala had commited suicide. Hearing that Gobinda rushed to his father-in-law's house and found Nirmala alive. After this Gobinda-Nirmala and Ramkanta-Golapi started a new life.
