Bittoo Boss rating: 0 out of 10(Pratibha Yadav wrote on 07 Apr 2012)

Actors: Pulkit Samrat, Amita Pathak and others
    Director: Supavitra Babul

Plot: A young, charming, ingenious and a fun filled guy records videos at weddings. He is proud of his job and calls himself a sesky video shooter. He believes in spreading happiness through the beautiful moments he captures and converts them into beautiful memories for others which last forever. Meanwhile he falls in love with an educated and intelligent girl. The girl makes him realize the importance of money and financial independence in life. She makes him believe that respect and recognition come only through money. The videographer is so much in love with the girl that he takes her seriously and starts taking shortcuts to earn a lot of money to get the desired respect in life. Will he be successful in life? Will life punish him for taking shortcuts?

About the Music of the film: The music of the film is full on hit and has already become quite popular among the masses. Raghav has done a great work as a music director and given his best in the film. As far as songs are considered the movie is a hit.

    "Kick Lag Gayi …”
The song is full of fun and frolic. It instantly brings you into a celebrating mood but will it be able to seep inside the hearts? Well! It seems it has already begun its magic. It has this unique energy that instantly connects not only with youth but also the older lot. The song has beautiful traditional lyrics and Punjabi beats that will surely make you groove to its music. The song is beautifully sung by Saleem and Tulsi Kumar. It surely has great future in wedding ceremonies. The steps are so adorable and exciting; we may soon see children imitating the steps. The song has another version by Raghav Sachar.

    “Kaun Kenda…”
Here is yet another song for our filmy but real life lovers. It simply gives them the words to express their love to their sweethearts. It’s beautifully sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. The song will also work when you had a tiresome day and just want to relax; it will surely give you that soothing and relaxing feeling. It’s a bit emotional but has a great romantic feeling to it. It will surely rule for few months.

    “Man Jaage...”
Now this song is definitely going to make your wounds fresh if you have been betrayed in love. Filled with the sadness of life and touching lyrics it pierces deep inside your heart and stays there for a longer time. In a way it also brings forth the reality of life and its pains with the use of personifying lyrics. It’s Sung by Shahid.

    “Bittoo Sab Ki Lega…”

The song has already got wide publicity with the help of censor board who has objected on the questionable lyrics of the song. It has a fun angle to it but it does give an encouragement to the corrupt minds. Well Jokes apart, song is a treat to our ears as it is sung unconventionally and has that mischievous element in it. Mika Singh adds icing on the cake with his majestic voice. Whether it should be included in the movie or not, that depends on censor board but no force can stop it from becoming viral soon.

“Kabootar…” Well this song sung by Mika Singh bears more of a casual approach. It cannot match the standards of other songs in the film and gets a little boring. It cannot hold your attention and you can wander in your own thought process just to come back and realize the song is still playing!

“Tenu Tak de…” It’s sung by Raghav Sachar, Natalie Di Luccio and its more of funky kind of song. The song is subjective to the kind of songs you are interested in. It has the feeling of east meets west. So if you like such songs then this is one is just for you.

My Vote for: ‘Kick Lag Gayi ...’, ‘Kaun Kenda…’, ‘Man Jaage...’, ‘Bittoo Sab Ki Lega..’

Trailer: The trailer of ‘Bitoo Boss’ has a desi tadka to it. It’s interesting to see films being made on small but important things in life. The trailer leaves much to imagination.

Scope: If the trailer and songs are only the glimpse of the film then the film is surely going to rock the box office. It may not set a record like ‘Bodyguard’ or ‘3 Idiots’ but it may attract considerable amount of audience. Songs are the strongest aspect of the film. Pulkit Samrat looks promising, passionate and talented. ‘Bittoo Boss’ can prove to be a good launch pad for him. Amita Pathak looks ok. The movie is definitely on the shoulders of Pulkit. Let’s wait and watch how well this new comer pulls the movie in his testing times!
