Mehmood Albak (Anurag Sinha) is a young terrorist of the Muslim Jehad Movement in Afghanistan. He is sent to India on a special mission by his mentors as a Suicide Bomber to kill hundreds of Indians on the occasion of Independence Day at Red fort in Delhi. He attains a fake name, Numair Qazi, and all evidence and alibi, so that he can escape the law when needed. He is a true-blue follower of his religion, and hates everyone who doesn't respect that religion. He takes shelter in Gaffar Bhai's house, who is one of the oldest and respected citizens of Chandni Chowk, the most populated area of Delhi. There he meets Professor Rajan Mathur (Anil Kapoor) and his wife Roma Mathur (Shefali Shah). A few days later, Naeem Sheikh (Arun Bakshi), a business tycoon and a part of this mission, who was to arrange passes for Mehmood commits suicide, after being issued against an arrest warrant. Now Mehmood realises that Rajan Mathur and his wife can prove to be crucial factor in his mission. He plays some tricks with the help of his team, and makes a place in their heart. But soon, Mehmood actually realises somewhere in his sub-conscience the mean nature of the people who are behind him. He also understands the importance of peace and relations. He also comes across a girl-next-door Shagufta (Aditi Sharma), who falls in love with him at first sight. However, Mehmood is in no mood to pay heed to her advances and is too pre-occupied in his seemingly be-it-all mission. On the D-Day, Mehmood gives up and runs away when being tracked by the Law. But will Life give Mehmood a second chance? Will he be able to redeem for all his mistakes?
