The director seems to be much impressed with Ekta Kapoor’s numerology (N- series) while selecting the victims more than focusing on the meek and weak screenplay. The characters highly lack synchronism failing to uphold the boldness and gravity that Special Branch police personnel should possess. Sutanuka with her fixed and confused expressions of every emotion whether playing the tough cop or the soft lady looks tedious. Monojit and Anusuya seem a little bit promising and Debesh Roy Choudhury nods as our Bhishma Pitamaha! But hey guys check out those hot chicks who look more vigorous and natural as the lusty victims. If we look at the plot of the story it seems more of serial-sensuality than serial-killing. But the infidelity of the culprit’s wife serving as the motive will probably alarm our Page3 socialites to keep a watchman’s eye on their not so better-halves.The editor may have fallen into a trance while burning the midnight lamp. The only tolerable and somewhat sensible job is being done by the music director Ashok Bhadra, lyricists and at times by the director of photography, Sandip Sen. At the end, the motive-statement of the culprit i.e., Arindam: “I want to drive this passion out of their BLOOD” rocks! Truly its going to suck all the BLOOD out from the victimized brains of the audiences. I suppose it would have been better if the movie is entitled perhaps as LEECH!!!
