Rishi Bhutani does a commendable job. He struggles to stuff in every possible characteristic of a hero in his role but fails to be an actor. But also oozes his confidence, despite sharing the same frame with accomplished actors. But all in all, the ice-in-veins act isn’t cool anymore.
Om Puri is regular and gets into the skin of his character and is impressive.
Padmini Kolhapure is a pleasure to watch after a long gap. It’s really pleasing to see her after a hiatus. She is beautifully restrained.
Naseeruddin Shah has a brief role but was really wasted.
Govind Namdev is very good and decent among others and doesn’t ham like he has been doing off late.
Rajpal Yadav is wasted.
Both Disha Pandey and Krishan Khatra are non-actors.
Manoj Pahwa does his usual act.
I wonder why Naseer even took up this yawn yarn that yearns to earn. Actually the trouble with Bolo Ram is it boasts of a great cast, and then botches it up by focusing too much on a wooden Rishi Bhutani who can barely bring to life the character of the enigmatic, unpredictable son who might have killed his mother in a fit of rage.
On the whole, a waste of talent and a waste of such a good concept.
