Bolo Raam movie review writing is a tough job!

Not an easy job to write review of the movie Bolo Raam starring Rishi Bhutani, whose brother Goldy is the producer. When the hero of the movie is silent for a major part of the movie, except in flashback, when he is super aggressive for unspecified reasons...and you are looking for reasons...not for the mystery but for the visit to the theater to watch this movie.

The favourite posture of the hero in the movie is to walk with his school teacher - single mother (played by Padmini Kolhapure, in a comeback performance, she would definitely like to quickly forget) ... » read more

Actually I m shocked to see the professional critic rating given by the professionals. Bollywood Hungama – 2stars; Times – 2 stars; Indiatimes – 2stars. The only genuine rating seen was by Mid-day, i.e. “Half Star”. Perfect rating!

The movie is being written and directed by Rakesh Chaturvedi. A very new and fresh start by the man in the field of directorship. But sad for him, apart from very new and fresh start, it’s also very awful and bad ending.

    Story:
It’s about a story of a boy (Raam) who loves her mother (Padmini) very much and so passionately. ... » read more

    I am mute!

Debutante director Rakesh Chaturvedi 'Om' makes a confident debut, although he should've cast some better actors for key roles. Also perhaps director Rakesh Chaturvedi assumes he has an ace in his hands with the climactic twist but the puzzle is so peripheral to the plot that the film almost changes genre from suspense to social drama. The story goes back and forth, several new characters are introduced, but the narrative stays faithful to the main plot. There is absolutely no buildup to the mystery.

A remake of the Tamil film RAAM (2005), BOLO RAAM has an interesting ... » read more

    What a waste!

Bolo Raam rating: 2 out of 10

Rishi Bhutani does a commendable job. He struggles to stuff in every possible characteristic of a hero in his role but fails to be an actor. But also oozes his confidence, despite sharing the same frame with accomplished actors. But all in all, the ice-in-veins act isn’t cool anymore.
Om Puri is regular and gets into the skin of his character and is impressive.

Padmini Kolhapure is a pleasure to watch after a long gap. It’s really pleasing to see her after a hiatus. She is beautifully restrained.

Naseeruddin Shah has a brief role but was really ... » read more
