Runaway Muslim bride Hena meets a mechanic Siddhartha. She seeks refuge in him & the 2 arrive at Kolkata to work for a Punjabi garage owner, Papaji. The 2 pose as married couple & Hena alters her name to Rupa. Siddhartha makes friend with 2 co-workers of the garage, Tommy & Goja. These 2 fool an elderly couple who were scheduled to log in as tenants in Shanti’s house. Shanti is the head worker at Papaji’s garage. Siddhartha & Hena aka Rupa goes in as tenants while the old couple roams around in their truck. Meanwhile smuggler Subhash and his gang tries to ward off same arms through a car given for servicing at Papaji’s garage. Shanti & Siddhartha gets entangled & so does Papaji. Police under the leadership of Inspector Asim Ball chase the real criminals alongside the mistaken victims. Hence forth Papaji, Siddhartha, Shanti, Tommy, Goja & Hena steal the elderly couple’s truck & begin to flee. Love blossoms amongst the fake husband / wife. Meanwhile Siddhartha gets a job as the manager in the estate of business honcho Nikhilesh Chatterjee. As Siddhartha gets in, Papaji arrives at Chatterjee’s Palace in the disguise of a Kedarnath returned priest. He fools Chatterje & his wife by saying that their dead daughter is returning through a re-incarnation. Hena enters the mansion as Chatterjee’s dead daughter Koel, Shanti as driver, Tommy as watchman & Goja as wall painter. But Things go awry when Chatterjee fixes Hena’s marriage with his friend’s son Tokai. His friend turns out to be the villain Subhash. Police hunt Siddhartha & others & lay their hand on his childhood friend Nasir. Hena’s original fiancée Dildar along with his mentor Altaf Bhai also discover that Subhash is giving his son’s marriage with their runaway asset. The climax begins on the day of engagement. Nasir arrives at Chatterjee’s villa & joins the crusaders. After a hue & fuss, Inspector Ball arrives & arrests the smugglers. Subhash, Altaf & Dildar get arrested while an awestruck Chatterjee discover that he was being fooled. In the end he pardons Siddhartha & his gang & the estranged lovers marry to live for ever.
