Bulo C Rani was born in 1920 in Hyderabad, Sind, British India [now in Pakistan]. His full name was Bulo Chandiram Ramchandani.
Bulo C Rani had worked as assistant to Khemchandra Prakash. His first film as individual Music Director was 'Pagali Duniya' - 1944. His second film - 'Moorti' in 1945 became hit. 'Badariya baras Gai Us Paar' by Khurshid is still remembered.
His most famous film is 'Jogan' where all the songs of Geeta Roy (Dutt) and Talat Mahmood are simply unforgettable. He has playbacked himself in 'Jeevan Sathi' for Ashok Kumar.
When the era of melodious music was replaced by the fast rhythms in the film world, Bulo C Rani became irrelevant in the industry. He spent his last days in complete lonelyness and the most unfortunate event of his life occured very silently on 24th May 1993 - He commited suicide at the age of 73 ! The media who gave him space in the headlines during 1940's to 60's, did not feel ashamed of not giving him a single column space that day!
