Karan (Zain Khan) is an orphan who lives in a small orphanage ran by Hitler (Rajesh Khera). He has a company of many other orphans who live along with him. All of them fear Raghav (Jai Bhansali), another orphan who is older and dominating. Raghav considers himself the Boss and treats everyone else with utter disrespect. Karan wants to be cricketer, but is too young right now to make his dreams true. One day, Karan finds a bat in a box of second-hand objects brought at their orphanage. Soon, Karan realised that the bat has magical powers. On the other hand, the Coach (Vijay Crishna) of Indian Cricket Team is upset with his team's dismal performance, and is on a look-out for a new opening batsman for his team. Once, when Karan was playing with his friends and hitting lofty sixes with his newly found bat, the coach discovers him. He tests Karan with the Indian pace bowlers, where Karan trashes every delivery to the boundary. The Coach sees a great batsman in Karan, and manages to bring him out of the orphanage straight to the Indian Cricket Team. Varun Roy (Rahul Bose) is the captain and opener of the team, is on a low in both his professional and personal life. To his disliking, Varun has to share his room with Karan, who is in awe of the captain. Karan hits a century in his very first match, and Indian wins. Karan becomes an over-night star. He also changes the environment in the Dressing Room and bring some much-needed happiness in Varun's life. Varun and Karan become very attached to each other. Meanwhile, Raghav comes to know of Karan's Magic Bat, and steals it just before the final match. Karan tries to get his bat back, but a jealous Raghav breaks it to two pieces. Karan is disheartened. He loses all his confidence, and he refuses to go to bat even when his team desperately needs him. But then, Karan helps his team to win, and realises that confidence is the key to success. After the victory, Varun and his girlfriend Mailini (Meera Vasudevan) decide to adopt him, and Karan finally gets his parents, and a joyous life to look forward to.
