In the past director T K Rajeev Kumar has made a copule of bearable films and it wasn't wrong to espect the same this time around also. One may have heard of bad movies, some even worse. Chal Chala Chal starring Govinda is way beyond that too.
The story of a simpleton who doesn't want to give in to the evil way this world exists is something already experienced umpteen number of times in Hindi films. The main protagonist tries to earn money by hard work and refrains from corruption. In lieu of the same, he opens a transport company of his own which he names 'Chal chala chal". The journey that begins thereafter forms the major crux of this insipid tale.
There is nothing new that the director, script writers and the actors have to offer here. The story keeps moving at a snail pace and the jokes keep falling flat as they fail to make you laugh. Though the 1st half may have been watchable to say the least, the 2nd half just goes on aimlessly. A lot of over the top acting included, what with loud shrieks and dialogues.Music too is nothing much to write home about.
This film could have been a very good comedy, but at the end of the day one is forced to conclude that it's everything but a comedy. Manoj Joshi and Asrani are good, though one wishes the script would do justice to them. Rajpal Yadav is not doing anything new and has become so typecast in the kind of roles that he does. In short, on can term him as horrible. Govinda is one good actor who has been wasted in bad films. This film could be a classic example of the afore-mentioned statement. If he doesn't roll up his sleeves soon enough, it won't be long before he's out of the film industry.
So bol meri “FILMI KHOPDI” is Film mein kitna hain dum ?
Bilkul Dum nahi hai, the film falls flat and there is nothing to recommend here as well. This can easily be given a skip if the weekend has to be enjoyable. Watch it on DVD if at all you want to.
