    Prabha Narayan (Vidya Sinha) ia an attractive unmarried young womn, who work for a living, in a private firm in Bombay. Her co-worker Nagesh Shastri (Asrani), who drives her to work occasionally on his scooter. When she does not got a ride, she used the BEST buses. She notices that a young man has been following her, and whenever she turn back, he awkwardly looks elsewhere and starts walking away. When she finally gets to meet him...he introduces himself as Arun Pradeep (Amol Palekar), working as an account assistant in another firm. Arun is attracted to her, but he is not confident enought to tell her the same. He tries various ways to impress her, even by buying a dilapidated motor-bike, only to find out, to his vast embarassment, that this bike is just a piece of junk, and loses out to the ever assertive Nagesh. He tries various pundits, palm-readers, Psychics and counsellors, but all in vain. Then he decides to try out Col. J.N.W. singh. He is asked to pay a fee, which he does, and then begins his training in assertiveness. But the kind of training he gets is for seducing a woman which Prabha may not appreciate at all - and he may end up losing her to Nagesh. Will Prabha understand Arun's love or will Nagesh get his way? What will happen to Nagesh, if Arun succeeds? Watch the movie for this hilarious consequences of a simple event, which can happen to all of us.
